Clymb Local is operated by Golden Oak Marketing ("Clymb Local," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, when you use clymblocal.com and the Clymb Local platform (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, business name, and password, stored in hashed form and never in plain text.
Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Stripe handles and stores payment card data directly under its own security standards. We retain billing metadata such as plan tier, subscription status, and invoice history.
Business and client data.To deliver the Service, we collect and store information about the local business or businesses you connect, including business name, address, phone number, website, service categories, and content you or we create on your behalf, such as Google Business Profile posts, photos, Q&A, review replies, audit reports, and rank-tracking targets.
Google user data. If you connect a Google Business Profile, Google Search Console property, or Google Analytics property, we access data through Google's APIs on your behalf. This may include:
- Business Profile listing details, categories, attributes, verification status
- Business Profile performance metrics, including impressions, clicks, calls, direction requests, and search queries
- Business Profile reviews and review replies
- Business Profile posts, Q&A, and media
- Search Console performance data, including queries, clicks, impressions, and indexing status for properties you authorize
- Google Analytics performance data for properties you authorize
Clymb Local's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read this data except: (a) with your affirmative consent, for a specific purpose you request; (b) for security purposes, such as investigating abuse; or (c) to comply with applicable law.
Third-party SEO data. We use third-party data providers, including DataForSEO, to pull local search rank positions, keyword volume, and competitive data tied to the business locations you track. This data is about search results and public listings, not about you personally.
Usage data. We automatically collect log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you use the Service, for security and troubleshooting purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including audits, GBP optimization, GBP posting, review responses, rank tracking, and progress reports
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Process billing and manage subscriptions
- Send transactional communications, including billing receipts, service notifications, and support responses
- Send product updates or marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information or your clients' business data. We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including Stripe for payments, Google APIs for Business Profile, Search Console, and Analytics access used only to act on your authorization, DataForSEO for rank and keyword data, and our hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Google, only to the extent necessary to make the API calls you've authorized, such as posting to your Business Profile or replying to a review. Access is granted via OAuth and can be revoked by you at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Legal or safety reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Clymb Local, our users, or the public.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
4. Data Storage & Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed credentials, to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and business data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time as described in Section 6.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You can also:
- Revoke Clymb Local's access to your Google account at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any marketing message
- Request deletion of your account by contacting support
7. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on clymblocal.com for authentication, session management, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers operate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and where required, we will provide additional notice.
